At the conclusion of last season’s Game of Thrones finale on HBO, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) rose from the ashes of a massive fire with a trio of newly hatched dragons the only thing covering her naked body.
Where Daenerys goes from here is already known by those whom have read the second book in George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Fire and Ice series from which Game of Thrones. The rest of us, including myself, get a small taste of what’s in store for Daenerys in this new clip from the Season 2 premiere episode, ‘The North Remembers.’
In the newly released clip, Daenerys travel with her followers and baby dragons through the harsh and unforgiving desert landscape. She tries to feed one of the dragons some kind of meat, but the dragon has no interest in her offerings, opting instead to bob around and make cute noises while perched on Daenerys’ shoulder. The only thing the young Khaleesi knows about dragons is her brother once said they eat meat, but even she admits he knew “nothing about anything.”
Things could be worse for the Khaleesi. She could be kneeling before Joffrey with her fate in his dirty hands.
Game of Thrones: Season 2 starring Emilia Clarke, Jack Gleeson, Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Michelle Fairley and many others returns us to Westeros this upcoming Sunday, April 1 at 9pm, exclusively on HBO and HBO Go.
