As HBO’s Game of Thrones stands on the threshold of reaching the midway points of Season 3, one contender for the Iron Throne seems to be making all the right moves to assert her authority. Any betting man would be a fool not to pick Daenerys Targaryen as the best shot to rise to the top, especially after her move last week.
Using one of her dragons as both bait and a weapon of destruction and death, Daenerys turned the table on the slavers of Astapor by turning a slave army of 8,000 strong against their owners. Daenerys then freed the slaves, watching as each and every one of them pledged their allegiance to the Khaleeshi even after she gave them permission to leave.
Jaime Lannister has had a rough go at it the past couple episodes. First his sword hand was chopped off, then those who did the chopping humiliated him in a fight that a two-handed Kingslayer would have certainly won. Jaime will be back tonight and be “judged” for his wrongdoings.
Jon Snow and Robb Stark will also be featured tonight, though for entirely different reasons. Robb will be betrayed according to the episode’s official synopsis, while Snow will truly prove himself to the Wildlings. It seems like only a matter of time before Ygritte gets Snow alone and steals his virginity in the cold north. Tonight’s episode title ‘Kissed by Fire’ might be a hint that the big hookup is about to go down.
Back at King’s Landing, Tyrion’s new accounting position will cause additional headaches when the imp learns what the cost of the Margaery Tyrell and King Joffrey wedding will be. Tyrion is having enough trouble avoiding massive debt in King’s Landing without having to worry about dropping a small fortune on a wedding to celebrate a tyrannical young king.
Game of Thrones: Season 3 episode 25 ‘Kissed by Fire’ premieres tonight at 9/8c in high definition (HD) on HBO. Subscribers of HBO can watch a live online streaming version of tonight’s all-new episode via HBO Go on either the HBO Go website or via the HBO Go app on a cell phone or tablet such as iPad. HBO does not provide an official free live online streaming version, so HBO Go is the best bet to watch the episode as it airs on television.
