David over at /Film was able to snap a digital pic of a Twentieth Century Fox advertisement displayed at Comic-Con for the next direct-to-video feature-length Futurama film titled Bender’s Game.
Better yet, the advertisement includes a November 4 release date for Bender’s Game on DVD and Blu-ray Disc. This is the first confirmation for any Futurama title on Blu-ray and will likely be the first one available come November.
The panel accompanying the advertisement revealed some basic information about the film which /Film recaps as follows.
“The trailer included riffs on high “dark matter” (i.e. gas) prices (with “Mom” playing the role of the evil oil companies), and some Futurama characters playing Dungeons and Dragons, then being transported to a Dungeons and Dragons-like world. There’s also a clear parody of The Lord of the Rings films.”
An official announcement from Fox with all the disc specifics is still a few months off, but it looks like Futurama’s debut on Blu-ray is in the can.
