Frozen Blu-ray and DVD Pre-Order Price Drop Sale at Amazon

Frozen Blu-ray and DVD Pre-Order Price Drop Sale at AmazonDisney’s blockbuster $1 billion hit Frozen has unsurprisingly been untouchable atop online retailer Amazon.com’s Blu-ray bestsellers chart with the Blu-ray and DVD combo available for pre-order at half off the list price. What is surprising is that Disney and Amazon would drop the price even lower, and that’s precisely what they have done.

Prior to this past weekend, the pre-order price for Frozen on Blu-ray and DVD combo was $22.99 or roughly half off the $44.99 list price. Pre-orders have been gobbled up at this price dating back to last November when they first became available.

At some point over the weekend, Disney and Amazon dropped the Frozen Blu-ray and DVD combo price by $3 down to $19.99, and lowered the DVD price down to $14.96 from $17.99. See for yourself or grab your pre-order through the two links below.

The Frozen Blu-ray and DVD price drop means two things. First, there’s obviously a lot of retail competition for Frozen given its swelling popularity that has triggered the price drop. We’re talking about a film that has spent 15 consecutive weeks in the box office top 10, the first film in over a decade to do so.

Second, for the scores of people that pre-ordered at $22.99, you’re protected by Amazon’s “Low Price Guarantee” so when your Frozen Blu-ray combo or DVD ships, you will be charged the lower price.

All in all I would call this price drop great news and the timing perfect as the Frozen Blu-ray and DVD release date is a little over a week away on March 18.
