Fox has released a second Fringe “They Are Coming” teaser to promote the upcoming fifth and final season of the J.J. Abrams’ hatched serial.
This new short Fringe teaser starts similarly to the last with Peter (Joshua Jackson) and Olivia (Anna Torv) enjoying a quiet day laying on the grass while their young daughter Etta plays nearby. Tranquility quickly turns to terror when an army of Observers emerge from the woods by where Etta is playing.
Whereas the last teaser never left this scene, this one does. It flashes to a world where Observers walk amongst us and, in the closing scene, have a beaten down Walter Bishop (John Noble) in an interrogation chair.
The Fringe: Season 5 premiere episode ‘Transilience Thought Unifier Model-11’ debuts on September 28. The next episode is titled ‘In Absentia’ and will air a week later on October 5.
