Last night our universe in ‘Fringe’ continued to its descent into instability as a scientist was able to combine two rare elements and defy the law of physics in the episode ‘Os.’ There was no such instability in ‘Fringe’ ratings which held serve after a two week hiatus.
Early ratings numbers show that ‘Fringe’ pulled a 1.5 share in the adult 18-49 demographic, the exact same rating it had two weeks ago. Overall ‘Fringe’ attracted 3.8 million viewers.
The numbers were good enough for ‘Fringe’ to finish second behind ‘CSI:NY’ and stay above the series low of 1.4 that was set three weeks ago.
Unfortunately for Fox and ‘Fringe’ the show hasn’t been able to get back to the 1.9 rating it enjoyed the first two Friday’s in 2011 when it was first moved to its new night from Thursday. The 1.9 would have made Fox’s decision to renew ‘Fringe’ for a fourth season a lot easier than the current 1.5 bubble level it currently sits at.
If you love ‘Fringe’ like I do and want to see it continue into a planned but by no means promised fourth and fifth seasons, be sure to watch it live as it airs on Friday evenings.
