Fox Unveils Sampling of 2007 Blu-ray Slate at CES

In conjunction with the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has unveiled their catalog Blu-ray release plans for Fox and MGM films through June 2007 and announced ‘A Night at the Museum‘ and ‘Eragon‘ will be released day-and-date with their DVD counterparts.

On March 13 Fox will roll out ‘Ice Age,’ ‘Dodgeball,’ ‘Commando,’ ‘From Hell,’ ‘Dances with Wolves,’ ‘The Thomas Crown Affair‘ and ‘Hoosiers.’ Then on April 3 you can look forward to ‘The Fly (1986) (50GB),’ ‘Tristan & Isolde,’ ‘Me, Myself & Irene‘ and ‘Dude, Where’s My Car?‘ Additional MGM titles scheduled for sometime in April include ‘The Silence of the Lambs‘ and ‘Hannibal.’

May looks to be a big month for the guys as Fox is clearly targeting the approach of Father’s Day and Memorial Day with a lineup featuring ‘Master & Commander,’ ‘Man on Fire,’ ‘Edward Scissorhands,’ ‘Predator,’ ‘Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,’ ‘Platoon,’ ‘The Graduate,’ ‘Battle of Britain‘ and ‘A Bridge Too Far.’

June is set to include a number of high profile blockbusters including ‘Independence Day,’ ‘I, Robot,’ ‘Cast Away,’ ‘Ronin,’ ‘To Live & Die in L.A.,’ ‘A Fistful of Dollars,’ ‘Out of Time,’ ‘Walking Tall‘ and ‘Bull Durham.’

In addition to ‘The Fly,’ Fox has announced there will be seven additional 50GB titles amongst their releases for the first half of 2007.
