Fox Releases ‘Hitman’ Blu-ray Details

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has officially announced the unrated version of Hitman is coming to Blu-ray Disc March 11 in a two-disc set.

As we previously speculated, Fox is including a standard definition digital copy of the film on the second disc. This is the first Blu-ray release from the studio to include a digital copy.

Fox states the copy “provides a consumer a friendly way to easily and quickly transfer a digital movie file directly from a DVD to one of the several hundred million compatible Macintosh and Windows-based personal computers or laptops. In addition to being able to view and store a Digital Copy of the film on compatible computers/laptops, the digital movie file can be loaded on to one of the Apple video capable iPods and the iPhone as well as numerous Microsoft Windows”

Fox will present Hitman on Blu-ray in widescreen 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Lossless audio.

Special features will be identical to the standard DVD version and be housed entirely on disc one. They include four deleted scenes, an alternate ending, four featurettes, and a gag reel.

Hitman on Blu-ray will carry an SRP of $39.98. Check back regularly for pre-order information and high resolution cover art.
