The second and final season of Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse has been scheduled for a Blu-ray Disc and DVD debut on October 12 after having been available for pre-order at Amazon.com for several weeks.
All 13 episodes the sci-fi tinged mind swapping show’s second season starring Eliza Dushku and Tahmoh Penikett (Battlestar Galactica) comes to Blu-ray in 1.78:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS Audio. Bonus features will include a retrospective with Joss Whedon; cast roundtable about the series; a gag reel and deleted scenes.
Packaged with the Blu-ray and DVD editions will be a 28-page exclusive limited edition comic book by Dark Horse Comics that traces back to when the Active technology first went live and how the protagonists survived Epitaph One and Two. Bringing the comic to life are Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen and longtime Buffy the Vampire Slayer artist Cliff Richards.
