Lost has been without a suitable companion show since its debut but that may be changing as the powerhouse series heads into its final seasons.
A spec script by David S. Goyer and Star Trek vet Brannon Braga based on the sci-fi Flash Forward novel by Robert J. Sawyer was released by HBO for bidding between Fox and ABC. The latest word is ABC will land the deal and move forward with a pilot and season’s worth of shows.
Flash Forward is based on the premise that everyone on the planet blacks out for two minutes and seventeen seconds, having a vision of the future during this time that upends the world.
Goyer, who helped with The Dark Knight story, is slated to direct the pilot. If all goes smoothly, Flash Forward has a shot at making its debut next fall or winter.
