First ‘Ridge Racer 7’ Playstation 3 Screenshots

Namco has released the first series of in-game screenshots from the upcoming ‘Ridge Racer’ debut on Playstation 3, due on or around the console’s launch in November.

Namco is pushing customization and Sony’s new online network this time around, featuring over 75,000 exterior customizations and 7,150 tuning customizations that can be applied to cars and then showed off to the gaming world. A new in-game system called The World Hub will persistently show a gamer where he/she stands against other Ridge Racers, and of course all sorts of leaderboards and Sony’s version of Achievements will be available as well.

Career-mode has been re-tuned into the Ridge State Grand Prix that will test drivers through up to 160 races. What makes this career mode any different from those found in past incarnations remains to be seen.

We’ll update with more ‘Ridge Racer 7’ information as the release date draws nearer.
