Warner Bros. has opened up the November 2 release of Chris Columbus’ and Richard Donner’s The Goonies on Blu-ray Disc and DVD to celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary by sharing the first images of the box set’s interior as well as a nice high resolution outer box shot.
The Goonies on Blu-ray will be presented in 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and 1080p video. Bonus features include a cast commentary with the director and all seven actors; The Making of the Goonies documentary; Cyndi Lauper music video ‘The Goonies ‘R Good Enough’ and Outtakes. Tangible goodies include a new exclusive board game, storyboard cards, 1985 64-page souvenir magazine reprint, and a reprint of the 2009 Empire Magazine ‘Where Are They Now’ issue article with cast photos and updates.
Retail pricing for The Goonies: 25th Anniversary Collector’s Edition on Blu-ray has been set at $49.99. Amazon.com pricing is expected to be revealed any day now.
