About a month ago, Kevin Smith took to Twitter and informed his thousands of followers that Chasing Amy, Clerks, and a Kevin Smith Collection were coming to Blu-ray Disc in November. He backed up his claim with a look at the Collection cover art and made all of us quite happy.
On Friday, retailers were alerted to the existence of these three upcoming releases which are now confirmed for a November 17 release.
Clerks is coming to Blu-ray to celebrate its 15th anniversary and will include 90 minutes of all-new bonus features – which could potentially mostly be a new commentary track – along with an addition 4.5 hours of features most likely culled from the previous release. It will also include an embossed O-Sleeve.
Chasing Amy includes over four hours of new Blu-ray exclusive bonus features that per Kevin Smith’s Tweets includes a new commentary track that will be similar to a SModCast. Oddly enough the set is not currently scheduled to include O-Sleeve packaging.
The Kevin Smith Collection will include Clerks, Chasing Amy and previously released Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back.
