Buena Vista Home Entertainment has finally slapped a release date on the much-anticipated appearance of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe on Blu-ray Disc.
Originally pre-announced last year as part of Disney’s big 2008 Blu-ray initiative, the first Narnia film will arrive May 13 on Blu-ray. The sequel, Prince Caspian, we expect to find on Blu-ray later this year after completing its theatrical run.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe on Blu-ray is expected to include a number of the special features found on the previous jumbo-sized DVD releases. Which features won’t be known until Buena Vista releases an official announcement, due in the days ahead.
