First Arrested Development Trailer Revisits Familiar Bluth Territory

First Arrested Development Trailer Revisits Familiar Bluth TerritoryNetflix has released the first Arrested Development trailer for the upcoming fourth season that makes a point of checking in on all the Bluth family members. Simply put, they all seem to be in the same place mentally as we last saw them.

The whole Bluth gang is back as portrayed by Jason Bateman, Portia De Rossi, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Will Arnett, David Cross, Tony Hale, and Jeffrey Tambor. They seem to melt back into the roles that turned a lowly rated and offbeat Fox comedy into a cult phenomenon after it left the air in 2006 following three seasons.

If anything this trailer feels more like a recap to remind viewers who the Bluths are and the crazy quirks that accompany each character. Perhaps save for Michael (Bateman) whom arrives at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport and learns a valuable lesson that any Phoenician is more than aware of: don’t touch shiny metal objects in the heat of summer.

The other Bluths are up to their old tricks; in the case of GOB literally as he’s still trying to woo the ladies with the worst magic tricks around. Buster’s behavior is as unexplainable and bizarre as ever. And George Michael is still way too close to cousin Maeby as they appear to have shacked up together in college.

The return of Arrested Development is a huge deal so it’s no wonder that numerous guest stars are expected to pop up. Liza Minnelli and Henry Winkler are widely considered to be “in,” while several other big names should appear here and there throughout the Season 4 run.

Netflix will bow all 15 new episodes of Arrested Development in one swift stroke on May 26. Hopefully their server power has been substantially increased and fortified by then.
