The embargo on Fable 3 reviews has lifted and the first impressions out the gate are somewhat promising for fans of the series.
Thus far at GameRankings.com, Fable 3 is scoring a cumulative average of 84.6% off of 15 reviews. Most of the reviews are coming in around 4 out of 5 which is relatively strong though below the 88% Fable 2 scored.
Metacritic has a wider swath of reviews with 24 and a similar overall average score of 82%. Of the 24 reviews, only 4 are below an 80% score and 8 are right at the 80% mark.
Our Fable 3 review is underway and will be published within the next day or so. I can safely say after playing through much of the game already that a 4 out of 5 review is pretty spot on for this third trip to Albion.
