Writer/director Neill Blomkamp’s Sci-fi political thriller Elysium starring Matt Damon, Jodie Foster and Sharlto Copley is coming to Blu-ray and DVD with a release date of December 17.
Elysium is Blomkamp’s first film since his breakout hit District 13. While it performed moderately well in North America with $91.5 million in ticket sales, overseas business has been much stronger where grosses have reached $171.7 million. With a budget almost four times the amount of District 13 at $115 million, Elysium wasn’t quite the hit many thought it would be.
The Elysium Blu-ray will be presented in 2.4:1 1080p video and 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. An extensive collection of bonus features include the following:
