The full disc specs for Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s January release of Dragon Wars on Blu-ray Disc are in, and they’ve proven we were wrong on an earlier assumption.
We had previously assumed Sony would stick with their preferred PCM 5.1 audio format for this release. The official specs reveal Sony has tossed PCM 5.1 in favor of Dolby TrueHD 5.1. It’s unlikely either lossless format would have carried an advantage over the other, but interesting to note nonetheless.
To recap previously announced specs, Dragon Wars on Blu-ray Disc will be presented in 1080p video and include three special features: 500 Years in the Making featurette, Dragon Wars Animatics: From Storyboard to Screen, and a Conceptual Art Gallery.
