Dollhouse Guaranteed All 13 Episodes

The future of Dollhouse with Eliza Dushku beyond season two will not be determined until after the current batch of episodes air. Finally Fox has confirmed that those episodes will, in fact, air.

Thanks in part to a 50% boost in viewership from DVRs, Fox has promised to air all 13 planned episodes for season two per The Hollywood Reporter. Before the announcement, airing new episodes beyond this past week’s had been up in the air due to dismal live viewership for the season premiere. The likelihood a full 23 episode season is all but nil.

Series mastermind Joss Whedon, no stranger to premature cancellations by Fox with Firefly, is still planning as if there is no tomorrow past season two. “We’ll definitely have closure but will leave some doors open,” he said in regards to the thirteenth episode which has yet to be written. The eighth episode is currently filming.

Exactly when the next batch of episodes will air remains to be seen. Fox could opt to continue running them concurrently or take a break and return in January or February.
