Disney’s ‘The Game Plan’ Coming to Blu-ray

On January 22, Buena Vista Home Entertainment will release The Game Plan starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on Blu-ray Disc with an SRP of $34.99, day-and-date with the standard DVD debut.

The Game Plan will be presented in widescreen 2.35:1 1080p video and PCM 5.1 48 kHz, 24-bit uncompressed audio. Not all of the supplemental features have been announced, but we do know to expect bloopers with Marv Albert, deleted scenes, EPSN’s SportsCenter: The King in Search of a Ring: Stuart Scott hosts a look at Joe Kingman’s fictitious biography, ESPN’s SportsCenter: The Rock learns to play quarterback – all of which will also appear on the standard DVD.

Exclusive to Blu-ray is Chalk Talk, a “unique” commentary by The Rock and director Andy Fickman. We presume “unique” points towards some variation of a visual picture-in-picture commentary, possibly using BD-J profile 1.1, given it’s appearance on Blu-ray only.
