A few weeks ago, online retailer Amazon.com had listed an active pre-order for Disney and Henry Selick’s (Alice in Wonderland) James and the Giant Peach on Blu-ray Disc with an August 3 release date. That pre-order and date have unfortunately since been removed.
James and the Giant Peach is still coming to Blu-ray as Disney has been marketing it via trailers on other Blu-ray titles and now we have located the disc specs and cover art. They probably are not yet ready to announce a release date but we suspect it will be forthcoming very soon.
The Blu-ray specs for James and the Giant Peach include 1.85.1 1080p video, 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and a DVD version of the film included on a second disc. The first disc features an all-new interactive game while the remaining supplements are on the second DVD disc.

I’ll pass along the finalized release date for James and the Giant Peach on Blu-ray when it is released.
