Bambi could be hopping onto Blu-ray next year in a swanky new Diamond Edition combo format w/DVD release.
European Blu-ray outlets are reporting Disney is prepping Bambi for its remastered Blu-ray release in 2011. Upon some further digging, I’ve uncovered this decidedly English advertisement that touts a March, 2011 release that would be roughly two years after Pinocchio arrived on Blu-ray in March, 2009.
Disney has not formally announced Bambi for a North American Blu-ray release so nothing is set in stone as of yet. Given Disney’s propensity for early announcements when it comes to their animated classics on Blu-ray, we should hopefully hear something official relatively soon.
