Details have finally emerged for Lionsgate’s forthcoming ‘Dirty Dancing’ Blu-ray Disc release, now confirmed to be releasing on May 8 day-and-date with a 20th Anniversary Edition 2-disc DVD set.
Both the new Blu-ray and DVD editions will include all the bonus material found on the previous DVD edition comprised of interviews, screen tests and more, along with Patrick Swayze’s first-ever interview about the film and a tribute to the late actor Jerry Orbach. In addition, the Blu-ray version will include a multi-voice commentary with players unknown at this time, and an always fun VH-1-style pop-up trivia track.
Lionsgate is also expected to deliver a PCM 6.1 lossless audio soundtrack along with 1080p video, which should easily make for the definitive version of this film released to-date.
