Dexter Season 7 Episode 74 ‘Sunshine and Frosty Swirl’ Preview

Dexter Season 7 Episode 74 Sunshine and Frosty Swirl PreviewAt the conclusion of Dexter: Season 6, Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) learned that her brother (Michael C. Hall) was capable of killing another man. Only one episode later Deb has uncovered much, much more. The slides, the kill kit, the research; Deb has discovered her brother’s dark passenger and, with his back up against the wall, Dexter has admitted to his sister that he is a serial killer.

The big question now is, now what? Dexter is going to have to explain the “why” to his sister and dig into their past to present Deb with some answers. You can bet that no matter how Dexter explains his dark passenger to his sister that she won’t be able to sleep easily at night. Now that Deb knows, she has become a threat.

Speaking of knowing, there are several other characters who are hot on Dexter’s trailer. Louis Greene (Josh Cooke) is infatuated with Dexter and continues to torment him. He has the technical know-how to out Dexter for who he really is, and is mad enough to unleash his own dark passenger.

There’s also Captain Maria LaGuerta (Lauren Velez) who has renewed interested in the Bay Harbor Butcher case after discovering Dexter’s slide of Travis at the kill scene. LaGuerta learns that the only previous killer to use a slide was the Bay Harbor Butcher and has evidence that her friend Doakes was framed.

Soon to be on Dexter’s tail is Isaak Sirko (Ray Stevenson), a Russian mobster whose henchman was terminated by Dexter in a wing of an airport terminal. Sirko has the resources to discover how his man died and likely won’t rest until all knowledge of his illegal operation is cleaned up.

The second episode of Dexter: Season 7, ‘Sunshine and Frosty Swirl,’ premieres tonight on Showtime at 9/8c, followed by the second episode of Homeland: Season 2.
