Tonight the DDK case should be wrapped up on the Season 6 finale of Showtime’s Dexter titled ‘This is the Way the World Ends.’ Whatever happens in the closing moments is what should catapult the series into its seventh and eighth seasons.
At the conclusion of the previous episode, a promo spot ran that offered some very revealing footage of where the Dexter Season 6 finale would take us. At some point in the episode, Travis will get into Dexter’s condo and ultimately end up kidnapping young Harrison. Travis will end up with Harrison on a rooftop and will put a blade to the toddler’s throat.
There’s a few different ways this episode can go based on the preview. Harrison could be killed which would hurt Dexter more than the death of Rita. He could even potentially toss Travis off the building’s roof and be arrested for murder. Or, the buildup to Deb finding out about Dexter’s dark passenger could finally come to a head after she came one moral decision away from figuring it out in the Season 5 finale.
Dangling under the radar but sure to become more important moving forward is Louis’ fascination with Dexter and the Ice Truck Killer case. Louis has mailed to hand he bought off an online auction site to Dexter. Why he did it is the big question. How much does he know about Dexter? Enough apparently to show Dexter a video game concept where the player is a serial killer.
First up in this visual preview is a combo “The End is Near” trailer for the season finales of Dexter and Homeland. That’s immediately followed by a Dexter season finale clip and a series of images from the episode.
