This season of Dexter has been slow to unfold as it reaches the one-quarter completed mark after this evening’s entry, ‘Smokey and the Bandit.’ By its conclusion, Travis (Colin Hanks) and Professor Gellar (Edward James Olmos) will make a truly bizarre move certain to get everyone’s attention. And Deb will follow her gut when selecting who takes her place post-promotion.
This preview kicks off with a clip featuring Travis and a man he’s holding in captivity. The man wants to be freed obviously. Travis, however, wants the man to simply repent. Even though the man appears to do so, Travis isn’t buying it.
The reason for Travis’ demands will be made clear by the episode’s conclusion. It’s definitely worth the wait.
In the second clip we’re introduced to the memory of the “Tooth Fairy,” a serial killer who Dexter tracked as a young adult and kept a scrapbook about. The killer was never caught and has perhaps resurfaced in Miami to live out his twilight years.
