Syfy’s new science fiction series Defiance is still over two weeks away from its series premiere. That doesn’t mean you can’t watch a big chunk of the first episode right now.
This morning Syfy published the first 14 minutes of Defiance so you can get a meaty sneak peek at the ambitious project that features Julie Benz (Dexter, V), Grant Bowler (True Blood), Tony Curran (Blade 2) and Jaime Murray (Warehouse 13), amongst others. The series gets underway in a Fringe: Season 5 premiere-like way as you will see below.
Set in a futuristic terraformed earth that has been invaded alien species 33 years prior, Defiance follows not only select humans but aliens as well as they fight to survive in a new interspecies society. The Defiance experience extends into the gaming realm where a companion video game will launch on April 2 and carryforward the storyline of the television series.
