‘Deadliest Catch’ on Xbox 360 in April

Have you ever watched Deadliest Catch on Discovery Channel where crab fisherman are being tossed around the deck like rag dolls in freezing temperatures at the dead of night? Bringing home the big haul can be lucrative, but it’s also considered one of the deadliest jobs on Earth.

Game developer Liquid Dragon Studios would like you to take the helm of one of five real-life crab fishing vessels in Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm, in development in conjunction with Sig, Edgar and Norman Hansen since October 2005. The game will be published by Greenwave on Xbox 360 and the PC this April.

Based on the popular show, Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm will offer a campaign mode, mini-games, online play, search and rescue (first time ever in a video game), an interactive tour, and 100 videos. Weather, crew and boat selection will be integral in determining if you bring home the jackpot or nothing at all.

Some of the impressive game statistics include five authentic crab boats, twenty real fisherman, six authentic captains, 4,500 lines of recorded dialogue, and 34,000 miles of actual coastline.

Captain Sig Hansen personally announces the game he inspired with a video on Discovery.com. Every Tuesday until Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm launches, a new video featuring captains or crewmembers from the Deadliest Catch series discussing the game will be made available.
