After announcing the first two theaters to support D-BOX Motion Control, D-BOX has kept mum about which film will be the first to receive the Motion Control treatment in a theater.
Today D-BOX announced they have enlisted Universal’s Fast and Furious, the fourth film in the series, to debut Motion Control in a theatrical setting.
D-BOX enhanced seating will be available starting April 3 at Mann’s Chinese 6 Theater in Hollywood, CA and UltraStar Surprise Pointe 14 in Surprise, AZ.
We still don’t know how many seats in each theater will be equipped with D-BOX. If you’re interested in seeing Fast and Furious with the D-BOX experience and live around Los Angeles or Phoenix, give one of those theaters a call for more information.
Additionally, a demo kiosk will be set-up in each theater’s lobby so you can check out a quick D-BOX demo. I can foresee long lines for that already.
