Disney and Disney have struck a deal that will allow D-BOX Motion Code to be included on the theatrical release of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time in select D-BOX equipped theaters.
While D-BOX Motion Code has been applied to numerous Blu-ray and DVD releases over the past several years, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton marks the first appearance of D-BOX on a theatrical Disney release.
Speculatively, the agreement opens the door for D-BOX to be considered for another Disney theatrical release, Tron Legacy, later this year. Light cycle races would go hand-in-hand with chairs that move in sync with the action on-screen.
