Comic-Con: DC Universe Super Heros Lego Toys Coming in 2012

In conjunction with the kick-off of Comic-Con this evening, Warner Bros. Consumer Products is extending the reach of their DC Universe Super Heroes via a new multi-year with Lego that grants the toy company full access to the entire DC library of characters, creatures, worlds and vehicles to construct toys from.

The first sets under the deal will arrive on store shelves in January 2012. They will include 13 super heroes in Lego form including Batman, Robin, Catwoman, The Joker, The Riddler, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Bane, Bruce Wayne, Superman, Lex Luthor and Wonder Woman.

Additionally, buildable characters for The Joker, Green Lantern and Batman will also be available.

Several of these new DC Universe Lego characters will be on display at Comic-Con beginning tomorrow. For some lucky Con-goers, 3,000 exclusive Batman and Green Lantern figures will be passed out. These figures can be used in conjunction with existing Batman figures to participate in a creative promotion at www.LEGOSUPERHEROES.com. Head over there for more information.

I’ll pass along the first images of the new DC Universe Lego figures from Comic-Con as soon as they’re available.
