Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced Cirque Du Soleil: Corteo, one the Cirque’s ongoing traveling shows, is coming to Blu-ray Disc on September 2.
Corteo will be the first Cirque Du Soleil show released on Blu-ray, and certainly won’t be the last.
Sony describes Corteo as “…a joyous procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown.” The bright costumes and sets should be a perfect match for a Blu-ray high definition presentation.
It’s too early to report on technical specs or supplementals as we have yet to receive them from Sony. Pricing, pre-order information and high resolution cover art is also expected in the near future and will be passed along once received.
