Activision is reporting that first-day sales for Call of Duty: Black Ops have hit $360 million in just North America and the United Kingdom. That number will surely rise once Europe and other territories are counted.
Last year Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 made $310 million in North America and the U.K. on its first day on approximately 4.7 million copies sold. Black Ops’ $360 million comes from 5.6 million copies sold and marks the second year in a row the franchise has set the single-day video game sales record.
