Buku Sudoku Plotting Xbox Live Appearance This Spring

Xbox 360 owners slighted by the lack of Sudoku on their beloved console can finally rejoice. Game publisher Merscom has announced Buku Sudoku will be released this spring on Xbox Live Arcade, the first ever Sudoku game to appear on the service.

Buku Sudoku will utilize three key Xbox Live Arcade features. The native HD resolution of Xbox 360 pumps up the pixels for easier to read grid and pencil marks. That ought to help pump up some high scores.

The controller’s thumbsticks and triggers will allow for rapid-fire number entry, an advantage other platforms currently cannot boast. And lastly, Xbox Live will open the door for multiplayer Sudoku. Those details are currently being kept under wraps, though versus play is the logical choice for what to expect.

Players can expect to find multiple puzzle sizes, difficulties, and control schemes. Tutorials will be offered for beginners who just can’t seem to figure it out.

Merscom could feasibly release Buku Sudoku on Playstation 3 via the Playstation Network store. For now, the Sudoku spotlight shines solely on Xbox 360 this spring.
