Borderlands 2 has a release date and is set to lead the charge of big name games heading into the fall season.
2K Games has announced that Borderlands 2 will be available September 18 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and the PC in North America. Other territories will have to wait an addition three days and pick it up beginning September 21.
As a pre-order incentive tied to participating retailers (not named though most likely GameStop and Amazon) will be eligible to join the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club. Membership to this club will provide you with an in-game golden key to unlock the Golden Sanctuary Loot Chest, Vault Hunter’s Relic to boost gear hunting fortune, and the Gearbox Gunpack featuring a selection of unique and likely gold-plated weapons.
