Disney and Buena Vista Home Entertainment issued an extensive Blu-ray Disc press release during CES last week that announced many upcoming 2009 titles for the first time. Now we have the full details on one of those titles to share.
April 14 is the date poker fan favorite Rounders starring Matt Damon, Edward Norton and featuring Famke Janssen will make its Blu-ray Disc debut in a new 10th anniversary set. The release will be day-and-date with a new DVD version and is timed with the World Poker Tournament in Vegas.
On Blu-ray, Rounders will be presented in 2.4:1 1080p video and 5.1 Dolby TrueHD 48kHz/24-bit audio. It will be packaged with an “eye catching” slipcase (our guess: lenticular).
The information available at this time outlines bonus features will be identical between Blu-ray and DVD save for a handful of additional deleted scenes on Blu-ray.
