The top 3 spots on Amazon.com’s Blu-ray bestsellers chart are all occupied by titles that are currently on sale.
In the top spot is the three-disc version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 that includes the Blu-ray version, DVD version and a digital copy. Amazon has marked it down to $14.99 or 58% off the list price. You’re unlikely to find it cheaper anywhere else.
Second place is held by this week’s Amazon Blu-ray Deal of the Week, the big and impressive 70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector’s Edition of Gone With The Wind. It has been reduced down to $27.99 or 57% off the $64.98 list price. This sale price is good through May 7.
Surprisingly in third place is the Blu-ray 3D version of The Green Hornet due for release on May 3. Amazon and Sony are clearly trying to boost sales for the 3D version by reducing the price down to $24.99 or exactly half the list price. So far it’s working given the Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray 2D and DVD combo back of The Green Hornet is in the third spot while the standard Blu-ray 2D version isn’t in the top 10.
