AMC’s The Walking Dead: Season 2 is the marquee new Blu-ray and DVD release next week on August 28, 2012. It would be popular enough without a killer pre-order price. With one, it’s currently selling at a brisker pace than Marvel’s The Avengers.
Earlier this week online retailer Amazon.com dropped their pre-order price for The Walking Dead: Season 2 on Blu-ray to under $30 at $29.99. The new sale price sent it rocketing up Amazon’s top selling Blu-ray charts to second place where it currently resides. Only The Hunger Games, which was released this past week, is above it.
The Walking Dead: Season 2 on Blu-ray from Anchor Bay Home Entertainment includes all 13 episodes from the popular zombie apocalypse television series. It also includes numerous supplements that feature some must-see deleted scenes.
It’s anyone’s guess whether Amazon will raise the price of The Walking Dead: Season 2 on Blu-ray next Tuesday when it is formally released.
