Online retailer Amazon.com seems fascinated with shuffling the price of the two most recent Christopher Nolan Batman Blu-ray releases: The Dark Knight Rises and The Dark Knight Trilogy. For today at least, the pricing heavily favors picking up all three films as opposed to the trilogy’s final act.
After hovering around $35 for the past week, Amazon has dropped The Dark Knight Trilogy back down to its pre-order price of $27.96, no doubt in order to take advantage of procrastinating holiday shoppers. This set includes Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, and you would be picking up each Nolan Batman flick for under $10 each with free shipping in the deal.
As one Batman release goes down the other goes up. The Dark Knight Rises standalone Blu-ray release has jumped $5 up to $24.96, only $3 less than the trilogy set. It doesn’t take a mathematician to calculate the better deal.
More price juggling is expected in the future for these Batman Blu-ray releases. The best thing to do is figure out which one you want and then wait for it to hit its lowest price. Right now that’s The Dark Knight Trilogy.
