Dreamworks’ Rise of the Guardians is still a member of the North American box office’s top 10 club. It will eventually make its way to Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD, and Amazon.com wants you to lock up your home video disc copy sooner rather than later.
Amazon doesn’t usually tap pre-orders for their Blu-ray Deal of the Week, but that’s exactly what they have done to help promote and drive sales for Rise of the Guardians. From today through next Sunday, Amazon is pre-selling the three-disc Blu-ray 3D combo pack for $24.99 (55% off the $54.99 list) and the two-disc Blu-ray combo pack for $18.99 (58% off the $44.99 list price). While the list prices are a bit on the high side, the sale prices are definitely in line with a lowered post-release price.
Rise of the Guardians is expected to arrive in stores in either late February or, more likely, sometime in March. We will pass along the confirmed release date, disc details and box art as soon as they are available.
