Biutiful starring Javier Bardem has been assigned a May 31 release date on Blu-ray and DVD from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.
The Spanish drama garnered 2010 Academy Award Best Foreign Language Film of the Year and Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for Javier Bardem nominations. Though it failed to win either, Bardem’s nomination marked the first time a actor was nominated for Best Actor while performing entirely in Spanish.
The Blu-ray edition of Biutiful will contain a lone bonus feature, a making-of documentary that offers an extensive behind-the-scenes look at the film’s creation.
