BBC Home Video has announced the High Definition Natural History Collection will be released July 22 on Blu-ray Disc.
The collection is a compilation of BBC and National Geographic episodes previously released on Blu-ray Disc over the past two years. It’s been designed to cater to new Blu-ray adopters who may have recently picked up a Playstation 3 and want the best of BBC’s Natural History collection without tracking down each individual release.
Each episode will carry the same technical specs as when it was first released on Blu-ray Disc: widescreen 1080p video and stereo 2.0 audio.
Spanning a whopping 8 discs will be Planet Earth: The Complete Series Episodes 1-11 (2006); Wild China Episodes 1-6 (2008); Galapagos Episodes 1-3 (2006); and Ganges Episodes 1-3 (2007).
The High Definition Natural History Collection won’t come cheap with an SRP of $179.98. Check back for high resolution cover art and a pre-order link, both of which we expect to have shortly.
