Warner Home Video’s upcoming dual Batman Begins Blu-ray Disc titles with the first 6 minutes of The Dark Knight releases have recently gone up for pre-order sale and had an instant impact on Blu-ray sales.
The Limited Edition Gift Set Blu-ray version of Batman Begins is currently ranked #41 at Amazon.com for all of home video, including DVD. Here’s why: priced at only $34.95, you get a ton of extra stuff including a Batman Begins motion art lenticular; 32-page booklet including an all-new DC Comics comic book adaptation of The Dark Knight prologue; Exclusive photos; Script pages; Storyboards; Five Batman Begins collectible postcards with never-before printed key art from the theatrical release; and $7.50 in movie cash towards the purchase of an adult ticket to see The Dark Knight in theaters.
Not too shabby either is the regular Blu-ray version of Batman Begins. At a mere $19.95, it currently sits in the #68 spot but clearly isn’t quite as popular as the Limited Edition Gift Set.
Batman mania is expected to build as The Dark Knight with Heath Ledger nears, so we expect to see at least one of the Batman Blu-ray releases crack the top 10 at Amazon in the near future.
