With the Batman Anthology Blu-ray set due earlier this month, the last thing Warner Home Video wanted was for everyone to know Tim Burton’s first Batman film would be released individually a scant 2 months later.
Then a retail advertisement began making the rounds on the Internet for a digi-book edition of Tim Burton’s Batman which likely negatively impacted sales of the Anthology set as those only interested in the first film no longer had to buy all four to get it.
Warner has finally formally confirmed the existence of the Batman: 20th Anniversary Blu-ray set and passed along the details as well. The disc itself looks to be identical to what is currently available in the Anthology set, digital copy and standard definition bonus features and all.
