We once feared HBO Home Video would price the Blu-ray version of Band of Brothers north of $200, or the cost of a monthly car payment. Then the studio surprised everyone by announcing a $99.99 list price, bringing the actual retail price in around $75.
Online retailer Amazon.com is going one step further, though, by dropping the Band of Brothers Blu-ray price down to $59.99. For comparison, that’s the price of a new Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 videogame.
The six-disc set will include In the Words of Easy Company: a featurette with interviews and commentary from the surviving members of Easy Company via picture-in-picture.
In the Field with the Men of Easy Company is described as an interactive field guide featuring timelines, maps, soldier profiles and more.
All 10 episodes have been digitally remastered and will be presented in 1080p video and DTS-HD Master Audio.
