Tonight The CW’s Arrow returns from a brief hiatus with Tommy (Colin Donnell) now knowing that the Hood is actually his best friend Oliver. As if Oliver’s life isn’t complicated enough already with yet another person entering his inner circle, an old flame is coming back and she doesn’t mean no harm.
The title of tonight’s episode says a thousand words: ‘The Huntress Returns.’ Jessica De Gouw as Helena dons The Huntress attire once again and throws yet another unexpected twist in Oliver’s plans to clean up Starling City as swiftly as possible. She’s back to finish the job that Oliver didn’t allow her to the first time: kill her dad. I suspect Oliver will take exception to her violent plans.
The CW has released a featurette which takes a behind-the-scenes look at tonight’s episode. Since Tommy and Helena know Oliver’s secret identity, it appears from footage in the featurette that Tommy will end up in harm’s way as a result of The Huntress’ presence. While Tommy’s life seems to be going south of late, at least he still has Laurel (Katie Cassidy). Lucky guy.
Apparently construction on Oliver’s nightclub post-fire went without a hitch during the hiatus as it will be celebrating it’s grand opening tonight in style with none other than guest star Steve Aoki pitching in DJ duties. Watch Aoki hanging out with the Hood himself, Steve Amell, on the nightclub set in the featurette below.
