Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the 2003 Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson comedy Anger Management will be released May 20 on Blu-ray Disc.
On the same date, Sony will be re-releasing a number of Sandler classics on DVD in new “Sandler Line” packaging to piggyback Sandler’s new film due in early June, You Don’t Mess with the Zohan. This new line includes Big Daddy, Mr Deeds, Punch-Drunk Love, Spanglish, Eight Crazy Nights, 50 First Dates, and Click.
50 First Dates and Click have already found their way to Blu-ray; though it remains to be seen whether the others will see a Blu-ray release on May 20 or shortly thereafter. We’ll pass along any additional announcements should they occur.
Sony will present Anger Management in widescreen 2.4:1 1080p video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 lossless audio.
Supplemental features have been ported from the standard DVD release and should, though unconfirmed, be presented in 480p.
