Fans of Peter Jackson’s King Kong remake are still in jubilation after Universal announced the upcoming Blu-ray Disc version would include the theatrical and director’s cuts on the same disc.
Even with this news and the obvious inclusion of DTS-HD Master Audio, one question remained. Would Universal use the HD DVD cover art for Blu-ray? Or, would they try something new like what’s planned for Serenity on Blu-ray?
The verdict is in and the answer is… no change! Universal is sticking with the original HD DVD cover art and looks to be adding a slip-cover on top of that. I personally like this artwork and glad to see its return.
