Online retailer Amazon.com has covertly added a new sku for the upcoming release of J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek on Blu-ray Disc.
The new listing is for an “Amazon.com Limited Edition Replica Gift Set” created around the Blu-ray release. Judging by the pictures because there is no written description, the set will include the film on Blu-ray Disc, a large black outer case, a metal or pewter replica of the Enterprise on a Federation logo base, and a certificate of authenticity.
The Blu-ray Disc is expected to be identical to the standalone offering. Until Amazon updates their pre-order page we will not know how many of these were made or the precise contents. The page does tell us the set is selling for $90.99.
