Sorry Dark Knight. When it comes to winning Amazon.com’s Blu-ray bestsellers list crown, price matters most.
Amazon has discounted Eagle Eye and Iron Man: Special Collector’s Edition on Blu-ray Disc all the way down to $16.99 each over the past week. That’s a cool 58% off list price for each.
The price drop pushed both releases into the #1 (Eagle Eye) and #2 bestsellers spot on Amazon for Blu-ray, knocking slalwart The Dark Knight from its regular perch.
These prices have stuck several days now so it’s hard to determine whether they’ll revert to their normal $20+ range or remain at $16.99 indefinitely. Only Amazon knows at this point.
